Publication of the STROBOD statement


The Standardised Reporting of Burden of Disease Studies (STROBOD) statement aims to serve as a standard protocol for reporting DALY calculations.

Launch of the European Burden of Disease Network summer school program

The burden of disease summer schools aim to introduce the key concepts of Disability-Adjusted Life Year calculations. Three summer schools are offered, focussing on general concepts, risk factors, and infectious diseases.

Global exchange via burden of disease webinars

The burden-eu webinar series creates opportunities for global exchange and discussion on burden of disease studies, methods and knowledge translation. Four webinars were organised in the past year.

Workshops and presentations at the 17th European Public Health Conference

The 17th EPH conference took place in Lisbon, Portugal, and featured several workshops on burden of disease assessment, as well as a large number of individual abstract and poster presentations on burden of disease.

Organisation of the 2nd International Burden of Disease Conference

The conference, organised in Trieste, Italy, marked the end of COST Action CA18218, and the beginning of an independent future for the European Burden of Disease Network. The two-day program featured renowned keynote speakers and abstract presentations on burden of disease methods and applications.
